Leona Lewis - “Happy” - America’s Got Talent Season Finale
Sometimes, when I’m bored or just feeling rather imaginative, I contemplate what a singer does before they go on some national show to perform one of their hits or misses. In this instance, we will take a look at Leona Lewis and her performance last night on America’s Got Talent of her new song “Happy” that is taken off her upcoming album Echo.
Being that the show’s “pie,” if you will, has Simon Cowell’s fingers all up in it, it’s no surprise that Leona was tapped as one of the finale performers. Well, that and the fact that her new song is a melodic masterpiece complete with amazing verses, soaring choruses and vocal belting may or may not cause chills to run down the spine of 26 year old males currently residing in Los Angeles - It’s been documented.
So back to the whole point of this diatribe - to give you a hypothetical glimpse into what may have gone on before Leona took the stage:
Sharon Osbourne: Leona I’m so proud of you - ever since I helped you through to the win on X Factor, I just knew that one day you would be closing out another riveting season of America’s Got Talent
Piers Morgan: Chip chip cheerio gov’na. I think you’re well the best singer to ever come out of one of these talent shows. Go give it to ‘em, you ol’ bugga.
